Arrive at Colombo International Airport. Here, you will be met by an airport representative and designated guide from Victoria Tours. After the formalities at the airport, proceed to Dambulla. Enroute, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage: About 90 km from Colombo towards Kandy, this orphanage is home to over 100 elephant orphans. A place you will really enjoy and never forget, as most orphans are accustomed to their curious human visitors and are harmless. The orphanage is open from 8:30 am to 5:45 pm, and visitors can interact a little with the elephants during regulated bathing and feeding times. Feeding times are at 9:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 5:00 pm, while bathing times are at 10:15 am and 2:15 pm. Later, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Dambulla Cave Temple: This temple has five caves and 157 statues of the Lord Buddha, along with many paintings on the ceilings and walls that emphasize the artistic talent of ancient days.
